Austin native Dave Thomsen recently competed in the Tilden Time Trial in Tilden, Wis.

In the 60-64 age group of the cycling event, Thomsen finished in first place with a time of 35 minutes, seven and nine-tenths seconds over the 15-mile course. He finished seventh overall among the 130 riders. The fastest time was by Mark Skarphog of Mankato. He competed in the 40-44 age division.

The Tilden Time Trial was the start of thje second half of the Wisconsin Sport Cycling series. Thomsen’s team, Team Atkins, is in fourth place out of 30 teams in the series.
