The Blossoms improved their record to 7-2 in the Gopher Conference and 9-3 overall with a 7-5 win over the host Alden-Conger Knights on Tuesday.

Blooming Prairie scored three in the first, one each in the third and sixth, and two more in the seventh.

Alden matched BP’s first and seventh innings.

Sara Anderson was 2-for-4 with a double and three runs scored. Abbey Bergstrom was 1-of-2 with two runs scored.

Steph Thompson got the win on the mound. She gave up five earned runs on three hits, three walks, and one HBP. She struck out nine.

Kenyon-Wanamingo 14, Hayfield 4, 6 inn.

The Knights beat the Vikings in Hayfield, scoring five in the first and fourth, one in the second, and three in the sixth. The Vikings scored one in the first and sixth and two in the fourth.

Megan Follmuth doubled for Hayfield in the game.

Two hole-in-ones recorded

Wayne Kerian of Crestwood, Iowa aced the seventh hole at the Austin Country Club on Tuesday.

He used a pitching wedge on the 125-yard hole.

Also, Austin’s Ron Wiebelhaus aced the country club’s 169-yard No. 15 on Saturday.
