If you’re a parent with teen-agers, it would be prudent to find the time Thursday evening to attend a workshop session on inhalants.

Recognizing that drugs, smoking and alcohol present problems for our youth, inhalants likewise are a problem. Huffing happens in every community. It’s so easy for kids to find substances to sniff to get a high, too.

How easy is it? Inhalants can be found in every home. Spray paint. Glue. The list goes on. The program from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Ruby Rupner Auditorium of the J.C. Hormel Nature Center emphasizes that only parents should attend the workshop. The more kids know, the more they may want to experiment. Parents need to know the warning signs and how they can prevent their kids from starting to huff.

Call 437-8330 to reserve a spot at the meeting. Mark Groves, an expert, will present the program.
