A human interest feature on a person who collects old tractors by Austin Daily Herald reporter Lee Bonorden captured honors in this year’s Minnesota Associated Press Association contest.

Bonorden’s story, entitled "The world in shades of orange," was awarded third place for human-interest stories in a category for newspapers with circulation under 20,000.

The award will be announced at the association’s April 28 awards banquet in Minneapolis. A list of winners was released on Tuesday.

Bonorden covers county government and news and agriculture for the Herald.
