Lyle/Pacelli (5-14, 1-6) picked up its first Southeast Conference win of the season in its last home game of the year.

Lyle/Pacelli (5-14, 1-6) picked up its first Southeast Conference win of the season in its last home game of the year. In Lyle, L/P defeated the Superlarks 58-50.

L/P got off to a good start taking a 16-6 lead after one quarter.

"We had our five seniors (Ben Anderson, Dean DeBoer, Jason Helgeson, Josh Kunze, and Seth Pfeil) start," L/P coach Gary Erlandson said. "They played most of the first quarter and did some nice things to get us under way."

At the half L/P was up 34-17. After three quarters 47-36.

"It was a reasonably comfortable win, but they did whittle the lead away to make it a nice ball game," Erlandson said.

Kunze was the top L/P scorer with 16 points. Philip Halbach also got into double figures with 11. Danny Greibrok scored nine, Pfeil five, Matt Row four, Andy Boisjolie three, Anderson and DeBoer two each. L/P hit three three-pointers with Kunze hitting a pair and Greibrok making the third one.

Grand Meadow hit five three pointers with Ben Thorsen hitting one on his way to a game-high 24 points. Brandon Stier hit two threes and scored 10 total points, Randy Breitbarth scored seven with one three, Brad Buschmann scored six, and Rob Lubenow made one basket on the night – a three.

L/P is at LeRoy-Ostrander Thursday night.

The Blossoms held the Panthers to 14 second-half points.

Mark Vermilyea led the BP scoring with 14 points. Bryan Kramer scored 10, Cory Wencl andy Hjelman eight each.

"We did a great job on defense in the second half, making them take the tough shots," Blooming Prairie coach John Bruns said. "Bryan Kramer had a great game. He had 10 assists and made six steals."
