Three handmade children’s playhouses have been donated to the Salvation Army.
They are being offered for sale by sealed bid.
The playhouses are large and intended for backyard use.
Salvation Army staff estimate they each have $2,500 worth of materials in their construction.
A minimum bid of $200 will be accepted.
The deadline for submitting a bid is Jan. 1. However, Capt. Douglas Yeck, officer in charge, said the playhouses would make "ideal Christmas presents" and he suggests they be purchased before Dec. 25.
Two of the houses are on display each day across First Avenue NE from the Salvation Army headquarters.
