Christopher L. Bishop, 13
ROCHESTER – Christopher Lee Bishop, 13 of Harmony, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 1999, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Rochester, after a lengthy illness.
He was born March 4, 1986, at Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of Mark and Jennifer Bishop, Harmony.
He was an eighth grade student attending Fillmore Central Middle School, Preston, and a member of Peace United Church of Christ, Rochester. He loved nature and was active in Boy Scouts of America.
Survivors include his parents, Mark and Jennifer Bishop, Harmony; paternal grandmother, Dorothy Bishop, Rochester, and maternal grandparents, Donald and Gladys Morgan, Rose Creek; three brothers, Eric, Fort Myer, Va., Ryan and Aaron, both at home.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather.
· Memorial Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, 1999, at Peace United Church of Christ, Rochester, with the Revs. Carl Schroedel and Doris Underdahl co-officiating and 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29, 1999, at Greenfield Lutheran Church, Harmony, with the Rev. John Sorum officiating.
· Visitation: None.
· Memorials: American Cancer Society or Minnesota Make A Wish.

Rick D. Chilson, 42
Rick David Chilson, 42, of 8151 45th Ave., New Hope, died at his home Sunday, Nov. 21, 1999.

Eva Gilde, 80
Eva Gilde, 80, of Austin, died Friday morning, Nov. 26, 1999, at Burr Oak Manor Nursing Home, Austin.

Robert Hague, 81
Robert N. Hague, 81, Rochester, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 1999 at St. Mary’s Hospital following a brief illness.
He was born March 29, 1918 and was a longtime Rochester resident. He married Jeanne Phillips on Sept. 1, 1944 in San Francisco, Calif. who passed away on Dec. 28, 1981.
He was a retired Chief Housing Inspector for the City of Rochester retiring in 1955. He was a member of Rochester Community Presbyterian Church. He belonged to the American legion Post #92, lifetime member of V.F.W. #1215 and Elks Lodge. He was a veteran of WW II where he served in the US Navy. He was also a Pearl Harbor Survivor.
He is survived by his son Bruce Hague, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; daughter Marsha Hague, Roberts, Wis., and special friend Lonie martin; one granddaughter.
· Services: Memorial service at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 28, 1999 at Ranfranz Funeral Home, Rochester with the Rev. Lyle Rozeboom officiating.
· Interment: Graveside Military honors will be performed at the Oakwood Cemetery in Austin on Tuesday, Dec. 7, 1999 at 1 p.m. by the Austin American Legion Post #91.
· Visitation: No visitation or reviewal.

ROSE CREEK – Peter Schmit, 88 of Rose Creek, died Wednesday night, Nov. 24, 1999, at Veterans Hospital, Minneapolis.

Norbert Narveson, 78
Norbert D. Narveson, 78, Austin, died Nov. 23, 1999, at Sacred Heart Care Center, Austin.
He was born to Nels Narveson and Ella Akeson in Browns Valley, Minn. on Oct. 21, 1921. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod.
He graduated from Austin High School and attended Austin Community College. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church where he taught Sunday School for many years, served in various offices of the church, and hosted the radio broadcast. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps, in the Pacific Theater, during World War II. Upon returning to Austin, he was employed at the George A. Hormel company for 40 years.
He married Mona Dell on Aug. 14, 1948, at the Little Brown Church in Nassau, Iowa.
He was a member of VFW Post 1216 and served with their Color Guard for many years. He was also a member of the Austin American Legion.
He is survived by his wife Mona, Austin; sons and daughters-in-law Charles and Roz Underdahl, DeSoto, Kansas, Donald Narveson, Los Angeles, Calif., Richard and Marilyn Narveson, Aurora, Colo. and June Narveson, Melbourne, Australia; brothers and sisters-in-law Howard Narveson, Minneapolis, Maurice Narveson, Edina, Paul and Ethel Narveson, Springdale, Ark., and Clayton and Betty Narveson, Las Cruces, New Mexico; special sister-in-law Clara Berg, Austin; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by son Larry Narveson of Melbourne, Australia; daughter Kathleen Ann; granddaughter Kara Marie; brother Richard; sister Ruth Gerdes; parents.
· Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, 1999, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Austin with Rev. William Natzke officiating.
· Interment: Red Oak Grove Cemetery with military rites from American Legion Post #91 and Olaf B. Damn, V.F.W. Post #1216
· Visitation: Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 26, 1999 at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary and one hour before the funeral service at St. John’s Church on Saturday.
The family prefers memorials to St. John’s radio broadcast or the Sacred Heart Care Center Memorial Fund.
Mildred Mulholland, 83
Mildred K. Mulholland, 83, of Nelson, Wis. formerly of Rochester died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 1999 at her home.
She is survived by sons Ronald Mulholland, Nelson, Wis., Kenneth Hart, Seattle, Wash., daughter, Audrey Perkyl, Owatonna; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
· Service: A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, 1999 at the Abbott Funeral Home in Wabasha with the Rev. Glen Leaf officiating.
· Interment: Pleasant Prairie Cemetery, near Zumbro Falls.
· Visitation: Friends may call at the funeral home one hour before the service on Saturday.
