The Austin swimmers won 10 of 11 races and the diving in their second to last Big Nine dual meet.

The Austin swimmers won 10 of 11 races and the diving in their second to last Big Nine dual meet. The final score was Austin 96, John Marshall 75.

Lauren Goettsch had two individual first-place finishes, 50-yard freestyle and the 100 freestyle and two relay first place finishes, the 200 medley relay and the 400 freestyle. Becky Sanford, Amy Martin and Meghan Walsh swam with her in the 200 medley. In the 400, it was again Sanford and Walsh along with Sarah Heins.

Martin was also a winner in the 200 freestyle relay. Her fellow swimmers were Heins, Stacy Bjorlie and Lisa Champlin. Bjorlie got an individual first in the 100 butterfly. Sanford in the 200 individual medley. Walsh got one in the 100 backstroke. Her time of 1:04.78 was just off the Class A State qualifying time by 0.27 seconds.

The final race won by the Packers was the 100 breaststroke where Carrie Braaten came in first.

John Marshall had the top two finishers in the 500 freestyle.

Austin had one-two finishes in each of the three relays. The second-place team in the 200 medley was Liz Goskesen, Braaten, Alisha Farrell and Champlin. In the 200 free, Amanda Martin, Braaten, Farrell, and Chrissy Srock. In the 400, Champlin, Bjorlie, Goskesen and Charity Rockwell.

In the individual races, Austin took second in six of the eight races. Srock was second in the 200 individual medley, Amy Martin in the 50 free, Nicole Novak in the 100 butterfly, Heins in the 100 free, Sanford in the 100 back, and Briana Walsh in the 100 breast stroke.

Austin completes the regular season with a swim against Mayo at the Ellis pool on Tuesday.
