Riverland golfer Chad Wolfe has earned a spot in next spring’s national junior college golf tournament in Jamestown, N.Y.

Wolfe shot a 163 while playing two rounds at the Minnesota State, Mankato golf course Monday and Tuesday during a simultaneous event – the nine-team Minnesota State Community College championships and the 12-team Division III Region XIII championships.

Wolfe’s score earned him a 10th- place finish. Riverland’s Mike Willford missed the national-cut by finishing 11th with a score of 164.

The Riverland men, with a total score of 673, finished in third-place in both the region and state tournaments. Minneapolis, with a score of 644, won both tournaments.

The Riverland women finished a distant second in the state competition 791 to Bethany’s 696.

Bismarck N.D. won the region tournament.

Riverland’s Kelly Leif finished fourth in state and seventh in the region.
