The Awesome Blossoms, playing a rare Saturday football game, went of the road to crush Breck, 44-7.
The Blossoms used a balanced air-ground attack to gain the win.
Kody Thurnau put the Blossoms on the board with a 4-yard TD run. Blake countered by recovering its own fumble in the Blooming Prairie endzone to take the lead a 7-6.
But it was all Blooming Prairie from there. After a 64-yard TD pass from Nick Nelson to Bryan Bruggeman, Nelson found Bruggeman again for a 15-yard scoring strike at the Blossoms were up 22-7 at halftime.
On the first possession of the third quarter, the Blossoms marched nine played before Jeremy Wangen plowed 2 yards for the TD.
Jon Krejci capped the scoring with TD runs of 23 and 14 yards. Krejci finished with five carries for 42 yards.
Bryan Kramer ran 15 times for 61 yards; Thurnau nine times for 35 yards and Wangen 17 times for 59 yards.
Nelson threw for 82 yards on 3-of-5 passing.
The Blossoms outgained the Mustangs 270 yards to 117 and had 11 first downs to Breck’s five.
With the win, the Blossoms improved to 3-2.
