The Lyle/Pacelli boys’ cross country team placed fourth at the Holy Angels Private Invitational at the Minneapolis Lutheran Campus in Bloomington on Saturday, behind the running of Tom Roberts and Andy Boisjolie.
Roberts, a senior, was 14th overall in the 10-team meet, and Boisjolie, a sophomore, was 15th.
Mary McKee was the team’s top finisher in the girls varsity race. McKee, a junior, placed 24th overall. McKee’s teammate, Kari Leif, sat out with a hip injury.
"I was very pleased with our results in this meet," Lyle/Pacelli coach Jim Parlin said. " Almost everyone’s time improved from their previous best times of the season. I feel we are making very good progress to this point in the season. The boys varsity is pushing each other to improve their times and places."
Parlin said he was particularly pleased with eighth-grader Kate Boisjolie’s first place finish in the junior varsity race.
