The Riverland volleyball team lost in three games to Bethany Lutheran Wednesday night in Mankato.

Bethany won 15-7, 15-8, 15-4.

"We had some bright spots," Riverland volleyball coach Helen Jhar said. "We improved our serve receive which was my goal going in. "

Melissa Bemis and Jamie Roshiem had five kills apiece for the Blue Devils. Roshiem was also Riverland’s top blocker.

Breanna Siera had six assists.

Bemis and Shana Dagstad each had seven blocks.

Riverland will play again this weekend in a tournament in Rochester.
