Overall, coach Deb Hoyt was "pretty happy" with her teams’ play.

"Emmy Bue had a very good day at number three singles," Hoyt pointed out.

Hoyt moved Bue to No. 1 singles for the last match against New Ulm. However, most of the line-up was changed for the final match with New Ulm, largely to give the usual No. 2 singles player Amy Kelly a break. Kelly was playing with a strained quadriceps, a four-part muscle at the front of the thigh.

"That kind of change is fun for the girls too," Hoyt said.
