– A special offering of Riverland Community College’s course entitled "Abuse: Causes, Effects, Interventions" will take place in Owatonna on Mondays beginning today. It meets on five consecutive Monday evenings at the Owatonna High School from 6-9 p.m. Instructor Al Mayotte.

– Austin City Council meets at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers in the Austin Municipal Building at 500 4th Ave. NE. Citizens are welcome.

– The Zeta Eta Chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society at Riverland Community College will hold an induction ceremony for 42 new members at 7 p.m. in the East Building "Main Street" Corridor.
