NFL Picks

Published Tuesday, November 18, 2008

Here are this week’s picks:

Cincinnati at Pittsburgh

Pick: STEELERS

Bengals showed heart in fighting for a tie last week, but this is the time of year that the Steelers dominate at home.

Houston at Cleveland

Pick: BROWNS

In a stinkfest, I’ll pick the team that has one more win.

San Francisco at Dallas

Pick: COWBOYS

A perfect game for the Cowboys offense to get completely back on track.

Tampa Bay at Detroit

Pick: BUCS

I shouldn’t have to say why.

New York Jets at Tennessee

Pick: JETS

The NFL will find a way for their golden boy to beat the undefeated Titans. And yes I am implying the Jets will be the beneficiaries of some shady pass interference calls in this one.

Buffalo at Kansas City

Pick: CHIEFS

Bills looked awful against the terrible Browns, while Kansas City, which is 1-9, has at least showed some life.

Chicago at St. Louis

Pick: BEARS

Bears will rebound after a beatdown in Green Bay.

New England at Miami

Pick: PATRIOTS

Now that the ‘Wildcat’ package is on tape, the Patriots will find a way to stop it. If the Dolphins can win this one, they take a major step towards making the playoffs after winning just one game last year.

Minnesota at Jacksonville

Pick: JAGUARS

If the Williamses are suspended for this game, Maurice Jones-Drew will leave cleat marks in the backs of the Vikes d-line. If the Williamses play, Frerotte will find a way to lose.

Philadelphia at Baltimore

Pick: RAVENS

Bury the Eagles, they couldn’t even beat the Bengals with playoff hopes on the line last week.

Oakland at Denver

Pick: BRONCOS

Denver should cruise in this one.

Carolina at Atlanta

Pick: PANTHERS

In a game with major playoff implications, I’ll go with the veteran QB over the rookie.

New York Giants at Arizona

Pick: GIANTS

The Cards finally have to play a tough team and this one could be a big wake up call for them.

Washington at Seattle

Pick: REDSKINS

I guess the Hawks aren’t showing much fight for Holmgren. They’ve got 2 wins and look awful. Hard to believe they were in the Super Bowl a few years ago.

Indianapolis at San Diego

Pick: COLTS

Chargers are fading and Colts are surging.

Green Bay at New Orleans

Pick: SAINTS

It seems my Packers lose whenever I pick them and win when I pick against them. So you know I’m going to test it.

Record last week: 8-8 (99-71 overall)
