Lee Bonorden
Staff writer
Call Lee at 507-434-2232.
Lee Bonorden has been a staff writer at the Austin Daily Herald since June 1985. Lee covers Mower County government and small towns in our coverage area, and writes feature stories and a weekly column. Currently covering the Mower County Jail and Justice Center project, the continuing saga of factory farm hog feedlots and their opponents in Mower County, the extension of the Shooting Star Receation Trail across the county and quality of life issues in rural areas. Previously worked at newspapers in Iowa, Wisconsin, Wyoming and Missouri. What's my job as a reporter? To be fair and accurate and interesting in interpreting the news of the day. Favorite story I've ever done: the next one and the next one after that. Contact me at (507) 434-2232 or via e-mail at lee.bonorden@austindailyherald.com. Not too fond of anonymous contact. I would rather see you eye to eye and talk person to person, because I'm in the communication business.
