Eric Johnson has been photographer at the Herald since coming to Austin from Huron, S.D. in April 2004. He began as a sports writer in Huron before taking over the photographer position while still filling in some in the sports department. Eric graduated from South Dakota State University with a major in mass communication and minor in sociology and history. He's a native of Lake Wilson, Minn. in the southwestern part of the state.
