Catherine Monson is a first-year intern working with the Austin Daily Herald for the summer of 2009. She graduated with High Distinction from Austin High School in 2008. A sophomore at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn., Catherine is majoring in English with a concentration in media studies and plans to pursue a career in journalism. At college, she participates in the St. Olaf Orchestra and works as a student writer in the Communications Office.
