Grand Meadow’s Killian Smith poured in 16 points and 12 rebounds as the Superlarks topped Houston 54-43in GM Friday.

GM (9-9 overall, 5-7 SEC) lost to Houston (7-10 overall) by 16 earlier this season but it was a different story on Friday.

GM led by 11 at the half, but the Hurricanes pulled within six to start the second half.

“Our guys did a nice job of regrouping and made the plays down the stretch to get us the win. This was a big win for us tonight,” GM head coach Chad Burmester said.

GM scoring: Killian Smith, 16; Mike Gehling, 11; Jayson Chavez, 7; Bryce Benson, 5; Dezmon Johnson, 5; Zac Finley, 4; Aveonce Rowe, 3; free throws: 48 percent (14-for-29)
