The Blooming Prairie boys basketball team couldn’t keep up with New Richland/H/E/G’s size in a 45-35 home loss Friday.

The Panthers (14-3 overall) controlled the offensive boards, while the Awesome Blossoms (5-10 overall) struggled from the field. BP’s leading scorer Cooper Nelson was held to just two points but he blocked five shots.

NRHEG led 21-13 at the half.

“We could not get anything going offensively,” BP head coach John Bruns said.

BP scoring: Robert Hofius, 13; Isaac Clark, 5; Luke Huemann, 4; Justen Ingvalson, 4; Tom Fogarty, 2; Luc Zellmer, 2; Nelson, 2; Dudley Smith, 1; free throws: 58 percent (7-for-12)
