Austin's Emily Majerus sets the ball Thursday against Albert Lea in Albert Lea. The Packers fell in four sets to the Tigers.

The Packer volleyball team finished its regular season with a four-game loss at Albert Lea Thursday.

Austin (3-14 overall, 1-8 Big Nine) fell by scores of 25-19, 26-24, 16-25, 25-20.

The Packers had to shuffle in a new lineup as middle hitter Emily Weiss sat out with an illness.

“It’s always hard to go into a new rotation,” Austin head coach Darica Schneider said. “And it’s kind of frustrating knowing we could’ve done better if we played like we had at other times this season. But the girls did a good job of adjusting and hustling.”

Bri Mayer had 14 kills and four blocks to lead Austin, Robin Arjes had nine kills and five blocks, Jenna Svoboda had 16 digs, 15 assists, and one block, Julia Wagner had 14 digs and four aces, Ashley Follmuth had 14 digs and serve receives, Jenny Soiney had six aces, and Loryn Poole had three aces.
