Congressman Tim Walz announced on Tuesday nearly $3.8 million in grant money for regional airports. Fillmore County Airport in Preston, Albert Lea Municipal Airport and Rochester International Airport will all receive funding.

The funds will be used to rehabilitate and continue construction on the airports’ taxiways, runways and hangar buildings.

Fillmore County will receive a grant of $195,000, Albert Lea will receive a grant of $2,165,700 and Rochester will receive $1,425,000 in funding from the U.S. Department of Transportation.
