Hayfield's Dahlen takes 19th at state girls golf meet

A few local athletes finished up play at the Class ‘A’ state golf meet at Pebble Creek in Becker, Minn. Thursday.

In the boys field, Adam Wondra, a senior from Blooming Prairie, tied for 31st overall with a two-day score of 168.

Wondra shot an 89 Wednesday and a 79 Thursday.

In the girls field, Hayfield senior Brittany Dahlen took 19th and Hanna Volgarino, another Hayfield senior, tied for 44th.

Dahlen had a two-day score of 187, shooting a 95 Wednesday and a 92 Thursday.

Volgarino had a two-day score of 203, shooting a 100 Wednesday and a 103 Thursday.

Dillon Shultz of Springfield/Comfrey won the boys meet by seven strokes with a 144.

Anna Maria Tarzona of Madelia won the girls meet by three strokes with a 154.
