It’s back in business.

After a month in transition, George’s Pizza reopens today at 4 p.m. at its new home, 209 North Main St.

The popular restaurant was formerly at 202 First St. N.E. and was forced to move to make room for the new jail and justice center.

Owner Kevin Soiney said while the location may be new, the menu isn’t.

Customers can still order a “George’s Special,” complete with sausage, green pepper and onion, and complement it with an order of garlic cheese bread and spaghetti sauce.

“It’s the same help, the same food and nice hospitality,” Soiney said.

George’s Pizza is now in the old South Central Athlete building that Soiney said has been completely remodled.

On Wednesday, his staff was cooking up a few things to replace the “new” smell with an Italian smell.

“We wanted to get that Italian scent,” Soiney said.
