The Austin boys hockey team scored three times in the third period to get a win over Sleepy Eye on the road Tuesday.
The Packers (3-5 overall) were tied 2-2 after two, but came out with some added intensity in the third period as Dylan Hoium, Devin McCune and Joe McBeain all scored in that frame.
“We really didn’t really play that well and we could’ve beaten them a little better,” Austin head coach Tim Peterson said. “I think we came in a little overconfident early on.”
Hoium and McCune each scored twice for Austin, while McBeain had one goal.
