County to hear permit requests tonight

The Mower County Planning Commission meets tonight to hear two requests.
Y Waste Removal, Inc. is seeking a conditional use permit (CUP) to operate a solid waste handling facility in Section 15, Lyle Township.
Also, Ulland Bros., Inc., is seeking a CUP to allow mineral extraction, crushing and wash plant and temporary placement of asphalt and Ready-Mix at the south expansion of the Grand Meadow quarry in Section 9, Frankford Township.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the county commissioners’ meeting room in the lower level of the government center in downtown Austin.
