The LeRoy/Ostrander volleyball team swept Lyle/Pacelli by scores of 25-16, 25-19, 25-17 in LeRoy Tuesday.

The Cardinals (13-6 overall, 6-2 SEC) struggled with their focus as it was homecoming week, but they found it when they needed it.

“Our serving was pretty aggressive which was nice to see,” L/O head coach Lisa Swenson said. “LP never gave up and did a nice job digging.”

The Athletics (5-14-2 overall) had their moments, but couldn’t keep it going.

“We played pretty competitively and then there would be some errors and free balls,” L/P head coach Carl Ellis said. “We’d get a run going, but they usually got the last run.”

Kaylee Bunne had 10 kills and three blocks for L/O, Rachel Rosedahl had nine kills and three ace serves, Toni Blood had six kills and four ace serves, and Mac Bunne had 28 assists.

Alexis Balgeman had 12 digs, eight assists, two blocks and three aces for L/P, Haley Meyer had three kills and seven digs, Breanna Bartholomew had five ace serves, three kills and eight digs, Brianna Cook had six kills, 12 digs, two blocks, and two ace serves, and Emily Leif had six digs and three assists.
