The Grand Meadow football team won big for the second week in a row with a 54-0 throttling of Glenville/Emmons (0-2 overall, 0-2 SEC) Friday in Grand Meadow.

The Superlarks (2-0 overall, 2-0 SEC) jumped out to a 40-0 lead at the half and cruised the rest of the way.

“It’s a positive for us,” GM head coach Gary Sloan said. “We came out sharp and did things the right way.”

GM quarterback Brady Tart ran for a score and threw a TD, and Michael Gehling ran for two touchdowns and caught one TD.

The GM defense was also big as sophomore Jason Stier had two interceptions, Andrew Hardecopf had a 50-yard TD return off an interception and sophomore linebacker Dakota Johnson racked up 11 tackles.

“I thought Dakota played real well for us,” Sloan said.
