Sibshops created for kids with disabled siblings

Published Saturday, September 6, 2008

The Mower County Interagency Early Intervention Committee is again offering Sibshops this year, a program that serves as a safe, fun setting for kids to come and share their thoughts about growing up with a sibling who has a disability.

During Sibshops, kids might work on crafts, create snacks or participate in active movement games. Throughout the sessions, kids will share feelings as well as share good times.

The IEIC will be offering Sibshops from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturdays: Sept. 20, Nov. 15, Jan. 17, March 21 and May 16 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church.

To learn more about Sibshops or to register, contact Janice Green at 438-2533.
