HERALD AREA VOLLEYBALL TEAM

FIRST TEAM

Libero — Mary Scaglione, LeRoy/Ostrander

The senior averaged 4.9 digs per game (403 total) and recieved 366 serves for the Cardinals.

Scaglione was 98.8 percent on serves with 23 aces.

Setter — Resha Koster, Blooming Prairie

The senior had 494 assists and 76 digs with a 91.5 serving percentage and 22 ace serves.

Koster, who finished with 2,106 career assists, had 55 kills with a 45.8 kill percentage, and 31 blocks.

Hitter — Rebekah Aase, Austin

The senior averaged 3.8 kills (300 total), 1.4 blocks (106 total), and 1.1 digs (86 total) per game.

Aase was 89.8 percent on serving with 19 aces on the season.

She was selected to the All-Big Nine team and played in the Southern Minnesota All-Stars Tournament.

Hitter — Jessica Benson, Grand Meadow

The senior averaged 2.9 kills (197 total), 1.9 digs (129 total) and .7 blocks per game (47 total). She had .9 aces per game and was 80.5 percent on serves for the Superlarks. Benson had a 53.8 kill percentage and only made 39 errors on 366 attacks.

Hitter — Jolene Brody, Austin

The senior averaged 2.6 kills (205 total), and 4.8 digs (380 total) per game, while coming up with 532 serve recieves with just 46 errors on the season.

Brody was 98.4 percent on serving with 13 aces.

Brody was an All-Big Nine selection and was team MVP for Austin. She also played in the Southern Minnesota All-Stars Tournament.

HItter — Kaylee Bunne, LeRoy/Ostrander

The junior averaged 3.1 kills (254 total), .6 blocks (48 total), and 2.4 digs (203 total) per game.

Bunne was 95.5 percent on serves with 17 aces.

SECOND TEAM

Libero — Emma Arboe, Austin

The senior averaged 5 digs per game (396 total), while returning 478 serves.

Arboe was 97.4 percent on serving with five aces on the season.

Setter — Mac Bunne, LeRoy/Ostrander

The senior averaged 8.2 assists (684) per game, and was 86.4 percent on serving with 20 aces.

The L/O setter also snuck in 33 kills on 48 attacks and 19 blocks.

Hitter — Marie Morem, Blooming Prairie

The junior had 290 kills with a 45 percent kill percentage, while racking up 168 digs, 58 solo blocks, and 25 ace blocks.

Morem had a serving percentage of 90.9 with 25 aces.

Hitter — Kiley Severson, Hayfield

The junior had 312 kills with a .340 kill efficiency. She had 49 solo blocks, 132 digs and is a two-time Hiawatha Valley League All-Conference Nominee.

Hitter — Chelsey Smith, Southland

The senior had 182 kills, 275 digs, 35 ace serves, and 31 blocks for the Rebels.

Hitter — Breanna Bartholomew, Lyle/Pacelli

The senior had 132 kills, 231 digs, 14 blocks, and 41 ace serves for the Athletics.

HONORABLE MENTION

Katie Barthel, Southland

The junior setter had 294 assists, 115 kills, 176 digs, 43 ace serves, and 18 blocks for the Rebels.

Toni Blood, LeRoy/Ostrander

The senior hitter averaged 2.5 kills (204 total) per game and was 95.1 percent on serves with 26 aces.

Abbie Fay, Grand Meadow

The junior hitter averaged 2.2 kills (161 total), .3 blocks (22 total), and 1.6 digs (118) per game.

Molly Streightiff, Hayfield

The sophomore setter had 512 assists and 135 kills with a .320 effiency, along with 140 digs, and 45 solo blocks.

Streightiff, who was on the HVL All-Conference team, was 92 percent on serves with 29 aces.

Brianna Cook, Lyle/Pacelli

The senior hitter was an all-around force in the middle for L/P as she had 147 kills, 162 digs, 49 blocks and 33 ace serves.
