Bennett to run for city council

Christopherson will not seek another term

Austin resident Tony Bennett will run for the Austin City Council member at-large seat currently held by Pete Christopherson.

Bennett filed July 11 with the city clerk. He co-owns Robert’s Specialty Company, a local printer of promotional items. It’s been in business about 30 years, he said.

Bennett serves on the Austin Planning Commission.

Christopherson will not seek another term.
