Radiography has 13 grads
Pinning ceremony marks start of professional careers

The Riverland Community College Radiography Program hosted a “pinning ceremony” for 13 program graduates on Friday, Aug. 1. The ceremony which symbolized the students’ successful completion of all program requirements, took place at the West Building on the Riverland Austin Campus.
The ceremony also marks the beginning of the students’ professional career. They will write their national board examinations, then, begin work in hospitals and clinics in southern Minnesota and other institutions in the Midwest or attend advanced imaging programs.
The students are: Kimberly Anderson, Faribault; Julie Bartz, Osage, Iowa; Adam Dahlen, Hartland; Tonya Dallman, Wells; Brieana Hanna, Albert Lea; Matthew Hanson, Butterfield; Jennifer Holtz, Burnsville; Nadine Kellogg, Austin; Ryan Lake, Clarks Grove; Kara Nelson, Dell Rapids, South Dakota; Jenny Petersen, Austin; Sandra Sanchez, Owatonna; Chelsey Vorlicek, Glencoe.
In addition, Brieana Hanna is going on to the advanced-level imaging program at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. She has been accepted into the echocardiography program.
