The LeRoy/Ostrander volleyball team (2-0 overall) showed some heart in a four-game victory at Lanesboro (0-1 overall) Tuesday night. The Cardinals won by scores of 25-23, 25-21, 25-27, 25-23.

L/O had little momentum after losing the third game, when they trailed 14-1 in the fourth game, but they fought back to win that game and the match.

“Lanesboro has very strong hitters and some power serving,” L/O head coach Lisa Swenson said. “I was very proud of the ladies on how they pulled it together and worked as a team for a huge victory for us. We are still working on some things with our line up but we know that we know that we will get it all put together with hard work.”

Kaylee Bunne had 15 kills and seven blocks, while going 10-for-10 on serves for the Cards; Toni Blood had 13 kills, Alana Roe had 11 kills, McKinzie Bunne had 41 assists, Mary Scaglione had 22 serve receives, 16 digs and was 14-for-14 on serves, and Kylie Grant had 13 serve receives.
