Bid letting date scheduled for Shooting Star Trail

Mike Hanson, county highway department engineer, has announced a bid letting date for 1 p.m. Aug. 21 for the Taopi to Adams segment of the Shooting Star Recreation Trail. Also, Hanson announced bid lettings for mill and overlay work on a 0.756-mile stretch of Mower County CSAH No. 45 (10th Drive Southeast) from Trimble’s Cycle Center to U.S. Highway 218 South and a 4.5 mile stretch of Mower County CSAH No. 8 from two miles south of Bear Creek and north.

The two highway projects will be paid from County State Aid monies, according to Hanson.

The road work will be let at 1 p.m. Sept. 8.
