Riverland Community College student Maureen L. Schmidt has joined the United States Army Reserve under the Delayed Enlistment Program.

She will report to Fort Sill, Oklahoma, for basic training in June.

She is the daughter of Leonard T. and Carolyn L. Schmidt of Waseca, Minn.

She is a 2012 graduate of Waseca Senior High School and she earned an associate degree in 2015 from Riverland Community College in Austin.
