Letter: Hayfield students need this school referendum to succeed

Published 9:16 am Saturday, September 2, 2017

As a teacher in the Hayfield School District, I understand the importance of this referendum passing and how much it would improve the value of the learning environment for each student in our district. I truly believe that the students in this district are deserving of an adequate and safe place to learn each day.

I have been able to experience things within the school that need improvement. Unfortunately, many things within the school are outdated and in need of repair and replacement. The elementary classroom sizes and noise levels hinder the ability for all kids to be able to pay attention and focus throughout the day. As a teacher, I want each student to have the best opportunity possible to continue to learn and grow each day at school. They need to feel safe and comfortable. The improvements that will be made possible through this referendum will make that a reality for our students.

I hope that everyone will do the research and refer to the district home page to gain more information about the referendum. The images truly speak for themselves and show how much we need this. We need to make a positive difference for our students and the community because they are worth it! Vote yes on September 11th for our community!
