BP’s Ille wins Hayfield cross country meet

Blooming Prairie’s Alec Ille had a big day as he won the Hayfield cross country invite Thursday.

Ille won the race by 24 seconds as he finished with a time of 17:01 and BP eighth grader Bobbie Bruns finished sixth in the girls race.

Alec Ille was fantastic tonight,” BP head coach John Bruns said. “He took control after the mile mark and never looked back.  His hard work from this past summer has put him as one of the top runners in the section and he definitely showed that tonight.”

Kayla Christopherson took third for the Pacelli girls and Rory Bickler took sixth.
