The No. 7 ranked Blooming Prairie football team suffered its first loss of the season when it lost to No. 5 Goodhue (5-0 overall) 35-13 on the road Friday.

The Awesome Blossoms (4-1 overall) trailed 21-7 at the half and they finished with just 97 yards on the ground.

“We did not tackle well,” BP head coach Chad Gimbel said. “We couldn’t bring their back down.”

Seth Peterson threw for 241 yards and a TD for BP and he also ran for 30 yards.
