The Riverland Community College baseball team swept a doubleheader from Gustavus JV by scores of 14-7 and 11-1 in five innings in St. Peter Tuesday.

Josh Molina, a freshman from Puerto Rico, went 3-for-6 with seven RBIs on the day for the Blue Devils (13-2 overall). Molina was recently named MCAC Southern Division player of the week and he was leading NJCAA Division III with a batting average of .558 going into Tuesday’s games.

“Josh is tough out and he really listens well to coaching,” Koenigs said. “He uses the whole field and he hits from gap to gap well. He’s a big, strong kid.”

Austin grad Alex Ciola was two-for-three with three RBIs in the nightcap for RCC.
