There will be a tryout for boys interested in playing Austin VFW Post 1216 baseball in Austin this summer. The tryout is open to Austin area boys who are 16 and under as of May 31, 2017.

The tryout will be held at Marcusen Park in Austin 10 a.m. to noon May 7. Registration check in will begin at 9:30 a.m. There will be a nominal fee for playing, but scholarships are available.

The ballplayer must have been born on or after June 1, 2000.
