The club’s head coach Chris Amy said the mood is a positive one as the show goes through its preparation stages.

“It’s pretty exciting,” Amy said. “We have quite a few new students and it will be their first show. They really love it and they seem to be looking forward to it.”

Austin junior Amy Stoulil is a veteran of the club and she will be performing a skating solo to “All That Jazz” during the show. She said it’s been great to have so many young skaters on the ice.

“It’s really exciting to see so many new and young faces,” Stoulil said. “To see them really have passion and to see them laughing and enjoying the sport is honestly pretty cool and I can’t wait to see them grow up and see how they advance.”

Stoulil has also gained perspective on how much she enjoys skating with the club.

“It means a lot. Over the years I’ve grown to realize how much this really means to me,” Stoulil said. “I’m trying to make every second of it count.”
