Hannah J. Lees, 103

Hannah J. Lees, 103, of Austin, Minnesota, died peacefully at Comforcare on Friday, Feb. 3, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.

Hannah was born Sept. 3, 1913, to Gilbert and Christina (Njos) Johnson. She grew up in Freeborn County and graduated from Austin High School. On March 18, 1939, Hannah Johnson married Ron Lees at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. They made their home in Austin where Hannah enjoyed being a homemaker where she could raise her family. A member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Hannah volunteered with her time and talents. Her hobbies included traveling, collecting arrowheads and being in the great outdoors. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Hannah will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her.

Survivors include her two sons: Bruce (Janet) Lees of Austin; Gary Lees of Talmoon, Minnesota; four grandchildren: Jay (Michelle) Lees of Lakeville, Minnesota; Robin Kleinpeter of Houston, Texas.; Mark Lees of Elk River, Minnesota; Sara (Michael) Wessel of Blaine, Minnesota; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four grandchildren and grand-son-in-law, Randy Kleinpeter.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017, at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin with Pastor Mark Niethammer officiating. Visitation is one hour prior to the service. Interment is at Oakwood Cemetery in Austin. Worlein Funeral Home of Austin is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.worlein.com.
