H. Margery Frank, 89

H. Margery Frank, 89, of Dexter, Minnesota, died Sunday evening, Feb. 5, 2017, at Mayo Clinic Hospital, Saint Marys Campus in Rochester, Minnesota.

She was born Oct. 16, 1927, in Chicago to Edwin and Marie (Ruehle) Plummer. She attended Lutheran elementary schools and later graduated from Augustana School of Nursing, Chicago, in 1949. She practiced nursing in New York, Michigan and Illinois.

On Feb. 10, 1954, Margery married Herman H. Frank in Aurora, Illinois. They moved to Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, where Herman was in military service. They moved back to Illinois in 1956 to farm with his brother in Marengo, Illinois, until 1974 when they moved to Minnesota, where they now live. Margery was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Austin where she was in church choir and ladies aid. She also was a member of the Mower County Home Extension Group. She loved to do crosswords and liked to play piano and organ.

Survivors include sons, Ed (Cynthia) Frank and Ted (Kim) Frank, all of Dexter; Eileen (Watson) Anderson of Aberdeen, South Dakota; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Samuel at birth and a sister, Eunice Mengler.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Feb. 10, 2017, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Austin, Minnesota, with the Rev. John Schleicher officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin and at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday.  Interment is at Dexter Cemetery, Dexter. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.worlein.com.
