Barbara K. Madsen Marshall, 83, of Austin, Minnesota, formerly of Le Roy, Minnesota, died Feb. 13, 2017, at Mayo Clinic Health System of Austin.

Barb was born March 20, 1933, at an acreage north of Le Roy. She attended Le Roy Public School and graduated in 1951.

She married G. Wayne Marshall in Le Roy on May 5, 1957. In 1960, they moved to Boulder, Colorado, and lived there three years. In March of 1963, their son Alan was born and that fall they returned to Le Roy where they lived until they moved to Austin in August 2003.

Barb was an active member in the First Baptist Church of Le Roy until it closed in September 2003. After moving to Austin, they attended Grace Baptist Church. She enjoyed music, painting and being active in church functions.

Survivors include: her husband, G. Wayne Marshall; son, Alan (Wendi) Marshall of Mendota Heights, Minnesota; her sister, Deb (Tom) Bergren of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; Wayne’s sisters, Jeanette Ludemann of Grand Meadow, Minnesota and Ina Mae (Don) Hovden of Burr Oak, Iowa; nieces and nephews; and family friend, Claire Allen of Austin.

There will be no reviewal or visitation.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Feb. 18, 2017, at Grace Baptist Church of Austin with Pastor Devin Larsen officiating.
