ALBERT LEA — Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea and Austin has awarded four, $1,000 non-traditional scholarships to students in its service area who are pursuing post-secondary education in a health care field five or more years after completing high school or receiving a GED.

Recipients are Ashley Sampson of New Richland, who is pursuing a degree in radiography at Riverland Community College; Josephine Johnson of Albert Lea, who is studying  pursuing a degree in nursing at Riverland Community College; Cheri Bentzin of Rose Creek, who is studying for a degree in nursing at Riverland Community College; and Sandra Stringer of Dodge Center, who is also pursuing a degree in nursing at Rochester Community and Technical College.
