Austin swimmers sweep Tigers in season opener

The Austin boys swimming and diving team pulled off a clean sweep when it beat Albert Lea 93-77 in Bud Higgins Pool Thursday.
Austin won all 12 events in the season opening meet.
Isaac Christopherson took first the 200-yard freestyle for the Packers, Logan Kelly took first in the 200-yard individual medley and the 100-yard breaststroke, Mitch Mayer took first in the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard butterfly, Riley Norton took first in diving, Ethan Thompson took first in the 500-yard freestyle and Kaleb Blaser took first in the 100-yard backstroke.

The Austin 200-yard medley relay team of Blaser, Logan Kelly, Mayer and Trey Myers took first, the 200-yard freestyle relay team of Mayer, Brock Lawhead, Thompson and Christohperson took first and the 400-yard freestyle relay team of Christopherson, Blaser, Dolan Peterson and Thompson took first.
