The Southland softball team edged out Plainview-Elgin-Millville 7-6 on the road Tuesday.

Southland sophomore pitcher Taylor Bhend picked up the win in the circle and Ashlyn Reuter knocked in a pair of runs.

“They played well. We did some bunting and that helped out a lot,” Southland head coach Greg Schulte said. “Taylor threw strikes and we played pretty good defense.”
