Thomas E. Thein, 75, of Clara City, Minnesota, passed away April 27, 2016.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy of Clara City; his daughter, Molly Foster (David) of St. Paul; his son, Matthew (Nikki) of New London; eight grandchildren; siblings: Katherine (Lowell) Skjeveland and Mary Thein of Austin, Dr. Anthony Thein of Minneapolis, Dr. John (Pam) Thein of Roseville, and James (Sherron) Thein of Clara City.

Mr. Thein was preceded in death by a daughter, Amy, and his parents, John and Rose Thein.

Mr. Thein was the longest living recipient of a kidney transplant in the world at 49 1/2 years.
