The Hayfield girls basketball team closed out its season with a 62-35 win over Lake City (10-14 overall, 7-10 HVL) in Hayfield Friday.

Carrie Rutledge paced the Vikings (18-7 overall, 12-4 HVL) with 20 points.

“It’s a big win for us against a team that was playing pretty well,” Hayfield head coach Fred Kindschy said.
