The Austin girls basketball team knocked off No. 6 ranked Byron (19-4 overall) 45-44 on the road Saturday.

Senior Kelsey Sederquest hit a dagger three-pointer to give Austin (11-8 overall) a 45-42 lead late in the game and Ruth Koang racked up 11 points and 15 rebounds.

“Ruth played a great game,” Austin head coach Todd Johnson said. “She was hitting shots outside of the paint and she really played well for us tonight. I’m really proud of the whole team.”

Austin trailed by eight points in the second half, but it was able to rally back.
